My Story…
Howdy! I'm Miranda and I have lived with chronic migraine and Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS) for 20+ years. It is estimated that 1% - 5% of people around the world have a chronic migraine condition.
Living with chronic neurological conditions like migraine and VSS is a rollercoaster ride (literally and figuratively!) Migraine is more than just a headache. It is an often debilitating condition that can impact all of your sensory functions. Migraine conditions can also be a clinical challenge to diagnose, as in my case, which took years based on the elusive nature of some migraine symptoms.
There is no known cure for chronic migraine or VSS. There are treatments available to manage symptoms, but there is a great need for more research and evidence to advance therapies for people like me who live with these conditions which are unpredictable and impact quality of life daily.
I am helping raise funds to support local research through the University of Vermont Medical Center Headache Clinic (my awesome partners in care!), fellowship programs, and Miles for Migraine events.
I ask for your support in these efforts—every little bit helps, even if it's a share!
Thank you in advance for your help in reaching our fundraising goals!
